Bespoke Home Cinema Room Installation Sutton Coldfield
Our client was renovating a beautiful Victorian house and wanted a relaxed family cinema room that was simple to use but had state of the art performance and equipment to match. We worked with the clients interior designer to design and build a custom cabinet solution that would discretely house the television and all of the Audio Visual equipment. As part of the 1st fix wiring design we future proofed nearby rooms by running data, fiber and loudspeaker cables to adjacent rooms to allow for further expansion of the system.
Custom real wood finished loudspeakers and sub woofers (2 of them !) were specified and the centre channel loudspeaker was discretely housed in the cabinets to keep a clean and elegant look that matched the rest of the room. We recommended heavy drapes and floor carpet to improve the acoustics of the room and our THX video calibration specialist spent a whole day calibrating the monitor to reference video standards. THX video calibration is highly recommended if you're looking to get the best image quality from your 4k television or home cinema projector.
Audio in the room is managed by 7.2 channel digital processor using very high quality, discrete amplification. Using twin subwoofers allows the bass response of the room to be tuned for a flatter response across the various listening positions on the sofa - everyone in the family hears great audio ! As part of the tuning process a specialist DIRAC microphone calibration system was used and separate calibration responses were stored for music and movies where the client wanted to ensure audiophile quality music in stereo mode versus surround sound movie modes (eg. Dolby Digital and DTS). Hi-Res music playback sounds incredible on this system especially when playing back Studio Master quality FLAC recordings recorded at 24bit/192Khz resolution.
